Hey everyone! I was the original stilt walker! The first costumes were of shattered glass…wish I never moved away from Barrow…would love to do it again!

I have been going to Barracudas for about five years now, and I think it’s absolutely brilliant! I love everything about Barracudas. I really enjoy going to rehearsals and I absolutely love the Carnivals!
When we go on tour, I think my favorite place to go is Scotland. The reason for this is because the audience usually joins in, clap along, and dance. Scotland is the best place for that.
The only think I don’t like about Barracudas is the winter break. We don’t do much over winter, except at Christmas, and when we don’t go for a while, I start to miss it!
I play a bass drum in the band, and I am one member of what Doug calls “The Pensioner’s Corner!” The reason I am part of “The Pensioner’s Corner” is because I’ve got an old taste in music, I suppose.
I really enjoy being part of Barracudas. It really is a family atmosphere, and my theory is that “You don’t become a Barracuda, you’re born a Barracuda!”

Hello all I was a barracuda from 88 to 91 then moved to nottingham still play percussion, just wondered if anyone has photo’s from back then god I feel old!

Hi Gary, We do have lots of photos! Pre digital so stuck in a photo album, but one of these days I’ll scan them… Weren’t you a handdrummer when we were devils in 1992? We have been to Nottingham Carnival and are in regular contact with the Nottingham Carnival Club! They come up for Kendal Torchlight. Julie

hiya i have been dancing for 5 year now and it is very good to go to and it is differnt from other dance group in barrow and much better and you can meet new people and we can have a laugh . we are like a family who goes to barracudes.
