I became a barracuda in 1995…those black clothes underneath the costumes were hard work to dance in because of the really hot summer we had. I loved it! Stayed with them until 2000….Nottinghill was the best ever experience….as a stilt walker, it was hard work on the legs staying up there for all those hours…wouldn’t have changed it for the world, though…

God I can’t believe it… 20 eh? Being in the ‘cudas’ was one of the best times in my life and certainly an education…

Left in ‘97 to go to uni and am now a teacher in Worcester. (Class are working as I type!) Wish I could have been home to join in the fun because I would have been there with cow bells on!

Have many many happy memories of long bus trips with Sue, Doug, Coops, Geordie, Jules and all.

Though I can’t be a ‘cuda’ anymore the spirt lives on as I am just about to start Carnival arts week with 400 kids next week. Wonder which staff member suggested that theme! Busy making massive costumes and sorting instruments.

I read someone’s message that said you do not become a Barracuda you are born one. I totally agree!

Love to all of you where every you are in the world. (Mum and Dad are still on Ocean Rd Walney if you wanna get in touch.)
